On the 26th of March 2020, JMD Foundation went to the Makoko community located somewhere in the heart of Lagos State to share over 300 medicated soaps, detergents and hand sanitizers. We were also there to educate the people about the seriousness of coronavirus and to burst a few myths about the virus.
Just a week after our visit to the Makoko community, JMD Foundation took over Lagos State by feeding over 10,000 families including children and sharing more relief packages. We also fed over 200 elderly aged people in the community.
JMD Foundation went to over 20 Local Governments in the Lagos state.
Our pledge is to all mankind so we didn’t stop this act of kindness in Lagos. This humanitarian services were not limited to the South-West region alone, but also extended to the Nothern and Eastern part of the country and beyond.
On the 2nd of April 2020, we sent a trailer load of rice and maize to Zamfara, Kano and Kaduna State. This was distributed to ease the hunger being experienced by the people and providing temporary relief packages for them during the lockdown.
On November 21 2019, JMD Foundation visited The Gusau Prison to facilitate, pray for and empower the inmates. We visited the facility inside the prison and listened to the complain and challenges the prison is facing regarding insufficient rooms in the prison. JMD Foundation offered to take care of the problem and proposed a solution. JMD Foundation renovated the building and made it more habitable for the inmates to live in.
Also, before Salah, 600 cartons of packaged food items were distributed on the 17th of May, 2020 in Zamfara State. We also distributed over 10,000 food items in Lagos State. The Foods were purchased From Ammani Farms in Katsina State.
JMD Foundation is not only known for feeding the populace it has also gained recognition for paying hospital bills for patients with underlying illnesses. Some other acts we are notable for is giving scholarships to intelligent students whose parents live below $5, widow empowerment, providing shelter to the homeless, and so many unending humanitarian services.
